Bear Creek, Pennsylvania, 1935
Wright’s world-famous house was built over a waterfall for Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. Voted the Building of the Century in 2000 by the AIA. Ada Louise Huxtable called the building “an acknowledged masterpiece” and “spectacularly and unconventially beautiful.”
